Scope of the data

The platform compiles information on detention facilities, cases of violations, and the related events and sources. The absence of a case from the database does not mean that no violation occurred.

Sources and updates

The initial version was based on an editorial working file, with source links retained within each record. Each file displays the date of its last synchronisation and its available references.

Location accuracy

Current coordinates are approximate and require editorial verification. They should not be used to establish the exact address, entrance or security perimeter of a detention facility.

Review of figures

The platform retains both the original text values and the structured numerical values. Where the declared occupancy rate conflicts with the calculated rate, a review alert is displayed rather than concealing the discrepancy.

Handling of cases

Facts are presented in documentary language with a direct link to the reference material. Privacy and dignity must be respected, and no additional images or data may be published without a clear human-rights and editorial basis.
